Foundational Herbal Terminology w/ Heather 

September 21st 2-4pm 

Have you been wanting to learn more about herbalism but don’t know where to start? This is the class for you! In this beginner class you’ll learn in depth foundational herbal terminology to help develop your herbal knowledge, enrich your studies and gain more confidence in your home practice. You will be familiarized with herbal vocabulary and develop a better understanding surrounding plant parts used in herbal medicine making, herbal preparations, herbal actions and herbal energetics. All participants will leave with printed material to take home and deepen their knowledge. Leave feeling enlightened, empowered and proud of yourself for taking this first step course.

Herbal Blending and Hot Water Extractions w/ Heather 

September 28th 2-4 pm  

Get your kettles ready! In this class we’ll delve into the art of herb blending for health and learn a simple beginner’s formula to help guide you as you go on to create your own supportive blends for years to come. Each participant will formulate, create and blend their own custom herbal tea to enjoy at home from the Herbalist’s Choice selection of herbs provided during this class. You’ll also learn the ins and outs of three different approaches to using water as an herbal extraction method to create: a simple infusion, a tonic infusion and a decoction. Each participant will leave with their very own handcrafted herbal blend (made by YOU) in a glass jar, printed material of what’s learned and the wisdom and confidence to begin making simple herbal blends going forward.

Fire Cider Workshop w/ Britney 

October 5th 12-2pm 

 Come down and learn more about the benefits of fire cider, a long-standing natural recipe used for both digestive and immune systems support. At this event, you’ll learn about the benefits of fire cider and make and take your very own 16oz fire cider home to infuse. Leave the prep work to us, we’ll have everything you need ready to go. We will also provide you with a background on gut and immune system health and how they work hand in hand.

Tincture Making 3 Ways w/ Heather 

October 12th 2-4pm

During this interactive class you’ll create your very own single herb extract, or tincture, to take home from the Herbalist’s Choice selection of herbs and liquids provided during this class. We’ll discuss 3 different liquid mediums commonly used in herbal tincture making and review how to choose which best suits your personal needs and goals. You will have the opportunity to choose between alcohol and non-alcohol based options. At the end of this class you’ll leave with your tincture ready to infuse at home for 4-6 weeks where straining will then be done independently by you. It’s super easy and empowering creating your own tinctures, this won’t be your last! Each participant leaves with their tincture to infuse, a 2 oz amber glass dropper to store your tincture in after it’s strained, and printed material of what’s learned for at-home reference.

Sourdough Workshop w/ Britney 

October 19th 12-2pm

All hands-on learners, this one is for you! Come learn all about the gut microbiome, how it impacts our overall health and wellness, and ways to support it in this interactive educational experience. During this class we will sample some sourdough treats and you will be provided with a sourdough starter and the opportunity and instructions to administer your first feed to the starter at our feeding station! Walk out the door with your sourdough starter and recipes to start baking foods to promote gut health. This sourdough starter will last a lifetime if properly cared for. Your ticket will also include a sample of a gut supporting herbal blend to take home.

Herbalism for Stress Management w/ Heather 

November 2nd 2-4pm

Stressed? Frazzled? Frayed? You are not alone. Let’s get that cortisol in check! In this class, we will touch upon the workings of the neuro-endocrine system as it relates to stress and the role herbal adaptogens and nervines can play to potentially improve stress response and restore balance within, each in their own unique way. Learn how to work with these herbs in both the immediate and long term to help support the mind and body for a calmer, more adaptable you. All participants will leave with printed material to take home and deepen their knowledge as well as a sample of my custom herbal blend to calm frayed nerves and the recipe to inspire you to continue making at home. Leave feeling hopeful and empowered.

Herbal Balms and Salves w/ Britney

November 9th 12-2pm 

Back again for another hands-on workshop, Britney will be discussing herbal oil infusions, and how to create your very own balms and salves. This workshop will include and educational portion discussing basic terminology and equipment needed (most already found at home), a full demonstration on all the how to's, as well as a take home DIY kit with your very own infused herbal oil and everything you need to make your very first salve at home. Leave feeling inspired, empowered and ready to get creative on your herbal journey.

Materia Medica Mondays (VIRTUAL) w/ Heather

Who’s ready for Monday Funday?! For 6 Monday’s this fall we’re going back to school, but this time, it’s school for the cool and its virtual style! Join one or all of these classes, choosing whichever one(s) appeals to you. Let’s dive deep into what makes each of these herbs special and develop a systematic approach to understanding the virtues of a plant while learning how you can work with them to support your health and wellness goals. In addition to getting acquainted with traits to identify them, you will gain foundational understanding of the actions and energetics of each plant, bolstering confidence as you expand your knowledge base and move forward with your own herbal practice. Log in from the comfort of your own home. Bring a cup of tea if you’d like. Grab a pen, you’ll be taking notes.
